Charges for Withdrawing in Other Banks' ATMs
Every Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card holder knows, or should know, that there's a fee when withdrawing money through the ATM machines of other banks. These transactions used to be free but, just like text messaging in cellphones, they subsequently imposed charges. This should not come as a surprise because banks, among the most profitable businesses around, charge for (almost) every transaction.

Every peso matters, especially to minimum wage earners who receive their salaries/wages through ATM. It's makes money sense to withdraw from the same bank knowing that banks charge for withdrawals and inquiries from other banks' ATMs. Still, there are times when withdrawing from other ATMs cannot be avoided. If there's a choice from a number of ATMs, it may help to know the different rates.
