Philippine Bank Ranking in 2008 (Total Assets - Net) Print E-mail
Written by Pinoy Entrepreneur, on 18-11-2008

Banks are businesses, so they also send product proposals just like the rest of Pinoy Entrepeneurs. I saw a bank proposal today, or shall I say a set of proposals, involving payroll, check-writing and time deposit. Of course, depositors consider a number of factors, including the benefits of a particular bank product, whether it's the best in the market or if it yields the highest interest or income. Depositors also consider the proximity to one's office or residence and the stability of the bank. One way of looking at it is through the assets of a particular bank.

We've come across the ranking of banks (Universal and Commercial) in the Philippines, based on the total assets as of 30 June 2008 as published by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). We've decided to go beyond the Top Ten, and list the following:

Hope d slide in ranking of METROBANK turns into a wake up call for the managent. While I don't want to generalise, masyado kasi masusungit ang mga front liners at officers ninyo. If u think that because you are a megabank, you can just be rude and ignore your small customers, then you are totally wrong. I can prove this, I have visited some of your branches from Manila, Lucena, Batangas, Bicol, Cebu and even Davao. feedbacks that your guards are harassing the runners of your depositors.

previous years could also be of good help for this site... at least researchers and others would have an idea of the banks with their position from deposits, assets, loans, and other relevant information regarding bank business.
