How to Post in Pinoy Entrepreneurs (Group) Blog |
We already pointed to the related article on how to post in the Pinoy-Business.com Group Blog. You can post an announcement regarding your business, product or service, or write an article that may be of help to other Pinoy Entrepreneurs. To make it more convenieent, let's retrace the steps:
Log in. The log in module is at the lower portion of the right sidebar. As of now, only registered users who have been promoted to "authors" may post in the Group Blog (please blame spammers, not us). All existing registered users who have logged in at least once will be categorized as "Authors" (please allow around 48 hours for this). Incidentally, the default landing page after logging in is the Front Page, so just click the Group Blog link at the Top Menu. Please note that registration is NOT equivalent to subscription (to receive email updates, every time a new article is posted). You have to subscribe separately (click here). Click the "Write in Group Blog" link at the "User Menu", also found at the right-lower sidebar. The toolbar for encoding your blog entry (also known as the WYSIWYG or "what you see is what you get" editor) is pretty much like Microsoft Word. Provide the title, select the category (there's only one category: "Announcement"), then type away. The two boxes ("Introtext" and "Main Text") are basically the same, except that readers see the "Main Text" after clicking the "Read More" button at the bottom of the post. Please use this feature to conserve space in the Group Blog's front page. We strongly suggest that you first draft the article in Notepad because if you take too long in drafting the post, you're autmatically logged out. The result isn't good -- the composed message will vanish into thin air, and you'll probably hate us for it. So, please, compose it first outside. Attaching photos. Click this button -- -- then provide the image location (right-click on the image, perhaps from Multiply or Flickr, then left-click "Save Image As"). Save. Press the save logo (looks like a diskette at the upper-right portion of the WYSIWYG editor). Don't worry if the article doesn't appear right away. Be patient. If you have any questions, please see the Site Help category or simply post a comment here. Everyone is encouraged to test-run this component and let us know if there are bugs or problems, or any suggestions for that matter.
