Jeepney Fare back to P7.50 minimum by November 2 |

The Land Transportation Franchise and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has set the "reinstatement" of the minimum jeepney fare to P7.50, effective 2 November 2007. To recall, the basic fare was reduced to P7 in December 2007 after a rollback of oil prices, and also as a Christmas gift to commuters.
The LTFRB is careful in calling this as a "reinstatement", and not a fare increase. Regardless of whether it's a reinstatement or increase, however, it's bound to affect prices and the Pinoy Entrepreneurs. So, brace yourselves.
