MALACAÑANG Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 1403 DECLARING MONDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2007, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) HOLIDAY THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY WHEREAS, the Sangguniang Kabataan and Barangay Elections shall be held on Monday, October 29, 2007;
WHEREAS, it is important to give the people the fullest opportunity to participate in the said elections and exercise their right to vote. NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Monday, October 29, 2007, as a special (non-working) holiday throughout the country. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed. Done in the City of Manila, this 16th day of October, in the year of Our Lord, Two Thousand and Seven. |
