Entrepreneurs are constantly on the lookout for business opportunities and, at the same time, they are keen observers of existing and potential problems in the pursuit of their respective businesses. These common problems may include those connected with source of funds, source of raw materials, red tape in government,manpower/labor/HR and the lack of information to assist the Pinoy Entrepreneurs. These problems may appear to be obvious. As to sourcing of money with which to start a business, it can be raised in various ways, including personal savings, borrowing from relatives, borrowing from money lenders or "5-6" operators, borrowing from formal sources of credit like banks and other financial institutions. Borrowing money, however, is not as easy as it they make it sound. As to the existing efforts to address red tape in government, there's still a lot to be done, but the progress made by some agencies are really noteworthy. We already have a discussion on the the most problematic factors in doing business in the Philippines. Still, even if these are problems encountered by Pinoy Entrepreneurs, we can't really characterize them as "common" without some sort of a poll. Here's where your participation is important. Since the Pinoy Entrepreneurs is a community, let's work together in listing down the common problems encountered by community members. We could also list the FAQs about business or entrepreneurship. for your own list. The Top 10 Common Problems and Top 10 Frequently-Asked Questions (FAQs) would then be compiled and posted in the days to come. Everyone could voice out their thoughts and opinions, violent or otherwise. There you have it, a plan (or something like it). Anyway, it's important to note that these "problems" are simply "challenges" that a Pinoy entrepreneur must overcome in order to be successful. A lot, if not all, of the most successful Pinoy entrepreneurs went through these "challenges" - and made it through. But a problem is a problem, and a discussion of the common problems, as well as the suggestions to address them, won't really hurt.
