Welcome, Pinoy Entrepreneur!

Either someone invited you here or you simply stumbled on this site. Regardless of the reason why you’re here, chances are, the site’s topic interests you. So, if you’re interested enough, and you want to join and actively participate, here are a few answers to your initial questions.

What will I expect from Pinoy Entrepreneurs? True to the spirit of entrepreneurship, this blog will try to rise from scratch. You can help this site grow. Growth in unity. As the site grows and gains momentum, so does its members. The site can then give back after reaching the tipping point. It’s time we send the crab mentality down the dustbin of history.

How can I help the Pinoy Entrepreneurs? This site is based on the idea of sharing tips and knowledge for the Pinoy Entrepreneurs. What works for one may not work for another. In the same way, what didn’t work for one may work for another. Just share information; post some articles. For reciprocity, please also add this site as a link to your site. You could also use the community badge (see sample at the left sidebar), by copying this html code:

<div align="center"><a href="http://pinoy-business.com/"><image src="http://pinoy-business.com/templates/madeyourweb/images/logo.gif" title="Pinoy Entrepreneurs Community" width=120 height=90></a></div>

Please don't forget to fill out the details, particularly the link description, for easy reference by other members of the community. Please remember that these links or resources must be helpful to the Pinoy Entrepreneurs. (This feature is temporarily disabled. Helpful blogs or websites are listed in the BlogRoll or WebRoll).

How do I get listed in the Pinoy Business Directory? Simply click the "Add Entry" link, then follow the simple instructions. Oh, you need to be logged in to use this feature. Read here about the Business Directory.

I would like to share an experience regarding opening a retail store in a remote Barangay of Capas, Tarlac. This was not only happened to me but keep on repeating because nobody wants to expose.
A modus operandi of several groups, they scouted for new stores to open then introduced products of Johnson & Johnson using a come on of free 2 dozens items, free signage and display counter and namedropped local supermarket. They used something to hypnotized you. They give receipt but priced higher and to topped it all, the products are faked. Bottles scratched, colognes diluted, powder are starch.

Indeed, the future of this nation will rest upon the shoulders of the entrepreneurs. If ten percent of Filipinos becomes an entrepreneur and will hire two employee, that would be a big contribution, actually a very workable solution, to our unemployment problem.
The availability of funds through micro-credit is a big boost. There is other aspect though that the government should do to truly unleashed the entrepreneurial spirit. Effort must be focused also on the improvement of business skills. So much resources is being wasted because of lack of business knowhow. A site like this helps a lot.
