The church calendar has already the Maundy Thursday and Good Friday on it. If by 'movable' as indicated above you mean the administration will move it to the nearest Monday, I doubt it. It is absurd. Maundy Thursday on a Monday?! Unlikely! Movable may be because these holidays are based on the rising of the moon. But that can be easily predicted and calendars already indicate when will they fall.
jaymee, Hazel, Whynes, HB -- we're not yet aware of any official announcement declaring January 2 as a holiday. So, it's a working day so far. We'll give you an update when we learn of such announcement.
Jheen -- same thing for the national heroes' day. We still have to wait for the official Proclamation from Malacanang. I'm sorry.
Arney, it's not among the official holidays, which means that there's a need for a special announcement to declare it as a holiday. If it's any indication, February 25 of this year (2008) was [url=http://pinoy-

Since January 2, 2009 is a Friday, would it be appropriate to have it declared as a special non working day. I think many workers will still be in the provinces for the long vacation. One more thing, there will be plenty of household chores to attend to because of the mess during New Year's Eve and many would feel tired due to lack of sleep.
