Hi, is September 7, 2009 a "CONFIRMED" holiday?
-----
According to this one:
September 7, 2009 has been declared by MalacaƱang Palace as a Non-Working Holiday. That day is the scheduled burial of Ka Erdy Manalo, Executive Minister of Iglesia ni Cristo. On that day, also, all flags will be placed on half-mast as a symbol of national mourning. This was relayed to Bombo Radyo by Press Secretary Cerge Remonde.
September 21, 2009 is also another Non-Working Holiday in celebration of Eid'l Fitr or the end of Ramadan. This is in accordance to the President's Proclamation 1699.
@JC, Aug 21 and Aug 31 are holidays. Kung walang pasok, that depends on the employer: if your work is needed and you're required to work, then the employer pays a premium -- the holiday pay.
@Balagtas, the next long holiday is from August 21-23 (Friday to Sunday). August 21, as you may have noticed from the list above, is Ninoy Aquino Day. August 24 is not a holiday. We haven't heard of any new Proclamation transferring Ninoy Aquino Day to August 24.
