We chanced upon a list of 33 Best Beaches in Asia (Conde Nast Traveller magazine, October 2007 issue) while in Hongkong. We were surprised that Boracay, one of the world's best beaches, is not among the best beaches in Asia (I still maintain that it's one of the best beaches, although my word holds no weight as I haven't been to the other beaches ).

 

The good thing is, the Philippines is still in the list, as Palawan is among the overall best beaches.

Business Philippines is a site of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), a key government agency charged with creating a business-friendly environment conducive to the growth of enterprises and supportive of fair and robust trade in goods and services, both within and outside the Philippines. At Business Philippines, you will find materials like starting your own business, business plan preparation, SME incentives and laws, SME statistics, and frequently-asked questions (FAQ). There are various materials on financing options and improving your business, among others. The main DTI website, with information like registration and licensing, is still up.

 

SME.com.ph is the winner of the 2001 Asian Banking Awards for eCommerce Service. It is "a membership program created to establish an e-Community of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the Philippines", enabling the Pinoy Entrepreneur to put his business in the world market through the world-wide web. There's no doubt that the Filipino Entrepreneurs can get a lot of helpful business information from SME.com.ph.

Written by a father (who, incidentally, is also a lawyer), the Atty-at-Work blawg is all about life, the law and everything in between. This blawg started at fredpamaos.i.ph during the same time when the Atty-at-Work’s son, Enzo, was born (you get to reflect on things while rocking your baby to sleep in the wee hours of the morning). Since then, blogging has become a hobby. Tinkering with internet tools and technology comes with the bonus of better understanding how existing laws apply to the third wave — that of technology, particularly the internet.

One important aspect of business is being seen by the clients, customers, consumers or whatever you may want to call the end-users. Maybe you've heard about the three cardinal rules: (1) location; (2) location; and (3) location. Christmas shopping is never fun, at least for us men. If it were to me, I wouldn't mind not receiving a gift, as long as I'm not expected to give any. But then again, this is a season of giving gifts, which brings us to one inescapable fact of life - shopping for Christmas gifts. Since I hate shopping and my wife doesn't enjoy writing, I'm more than glad to to write about her Christmas shopping tips:
