This topic certainly appears out of place in a site for and about entrepreneurs, but one route taken by entrepreneurs is to  work for a company -- to earn sufficient capital, to learn the tricks of the trade (almost all successful entrepreneurs will tell you that one secret for entrepreneurial success is to gain more knowledge or informatioon on the business you're planning to go into) and to get exposed to the right crowd (sometimes, it's not what you know, but who you know). Bonifacio Day remains on November 30

We have previously noted that Bonifacio Day, which is traditionally celebrated every 30 November, remains on that date. The President already issued a Proclamation about this matter; Bonifacio Day is not being transferred to the nearest Monday, which is 3 December 2007.

If you think Alibaba is merely a thief, you're probably not paying attention to e-commerce recently. One of the top stories while I was still in Hongkong the other day is Yahoo's purchase of a stake in China's biggest e-commerce firm, Alibaba.com. Oh, by the way, the transaction is valued at US$1 Billion or £556 Million.

Termination of Employment due to Disease

We have encountered questions relating to the termination of an employee because the employee sought to be terminated is allegedly suffering from a disease. Perhaps by now, our readers know that the general rule is always in favor of the employee and the security of tenure.
