Since January 2, 2009 is a Friday, would it be appropriate to have it declared as a special non working day. I think many workers will still be in the provinces for the long vacation. One more thing, there will be plenty of household chores to attend to because of the mess during New Year's Eve and many would feel tired due to lack of sleep.
